What to Expect From Your Invisalign® Digital Smile Assessment

Your digital smile assessment can be carried out during your dental examination. Our top of the range iTero digital scanner can carry out up to 20 scans per second, providing a clear visual representation of your mouth. Scanning is impression free – no material will be applied to your mouth during the scan, meaning digital scanning is suitable for patients who suffer from gagging, retching and claustrophobia.

The end result will be a high definition simulation, showing how Invisalign® retainers will, over time, gently reposition your teeth into a straighter smile. iTero digital scan technology can successfully map your existing smile and create an accurate image of the straightening effects of Invisalign treatment, bespoke to you. Scans are stored in a cloud for future use, should you decide to go ahead with Invisalign® treatment.

How Does Invisalign® Treatment Work?

If you decide that invisible braces treatment is right for you, you will have an appointment with one of our accredited Invisalign practitioners, who will develop a detailed treatment plan. Every few weeks you will receive a new set of clear, comfortable plastic aligners to be worn all the time and which can be removed for eating and drinking. The aligners will gently guide your teeth into their new position, straightening them and correcting any misalignment.
