At the Victoria Road Dental Clinic, we believe that a great looking smile is essential in boosting your self-confidence and happiness. Traditional metal braces are uncomfortable due to the brackets scraping against the inner check and gums. This can cause soreness and inflammation of the mouth. The Invisalign retainers are made from a comfortable plastic that fit perfectly, giving you the comfort and confidence to smile.

If the answer is yes, then come and see us for a consultation as the health of your teeth and gums could be compromised due to the difficulties in maintaining good oral hygiene. Advancements in orthodontic treatments can now simply achieve a straight and healthy smile comfortably.
Overbite & Underbite
This is a condition where the upper front teeth overlap the lower teeth excessively, or conversely when upper teeth fall behind the lower section. Most people have some degree of overlap, however when the overbite is excessive it can cause problems. A larger overbite can result in unhealthy teeth waring, aesthetic concerns and in some instances jaw pain.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is orthodontic treatment that gradually straightens teeth by using a series of virtually invisible, removable aligners. Treatment consists of a series of custom made, clear plastic fitting trays called aligners which are changed around every two weeks. You would need to visit the Victoria Road Dental clinic, an accredited Invisalign practice, on average every four to six week. The purpose of regular visits is so we can monitor your progress and at each appointment, provide the next stage of aligners to wear until your next visit. The aligners are individually crafted to move your teeth into position little by little, gradually moving towards the projected final position. Treatments plans will vary from patient to patient according to their individual needs, though the average time in our experience is 9-12 months.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, and typically hardly anyone notices that you’re wearing them, transforming your smile without disrupting your life.
As Invisalign aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want during the treatment by simply removing the aligners. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would to maintain your normal oral hygiene routine. Unlike traditional fixed braces, there are no metal brackets or wires. This means that in most cases less time is spent in the practice for treatment adjustments.
Finally, the Invisalign System allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you begin treatment, so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.
Another advantage of using Invisalign rather than other clear aligners available is that you only need to have one set of impressions taken to construct the aligners due to the fantastic technology of Invisalign.
The Invisalign brace is popular for adults but increasingly for children due to their gentle comfort and great appearance.
